Love the sinner, but...

OK, this is not a hard concept to grasp, are we ready for it?

"LOVE THE SINNER, HATE THE SIN!"

We do no one justice by condoning their sinful actions, whether it is gay marriage, homosexuality, abortion, or any other intrinsic evil as defined by our most Holy Catholic Church!

The phrase "love the sinner, hate the sin" IS NOT hate speech, nor does it allow us to hate our fellow man based on their immoral decisions, as we are ALL sinners in need of a savior!

With that being said however, we as Catholic Christians cannot just sit back and affirm our friends and loved ones living in sin, we must teach them the truth, the truth which comes to us from Jesus Christ and has been faithfully proclaimed for well over 2000 years by the teachings of the Catholic Church and her Magisterium!

So, because I love you and want the best for you, I will show you the way to Christ! I will not compromise in my task to teach you the truth, and until I am no longer on this Earth, my job will be to bring as many of you as I can to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!

God bless you all!

As I See It: Equal Marriage Rights

For the record, I do not understand why all these people are supporting something that is morally wrong by updating their status or profile picture on social media sites with the symbol of the red equal bars. When you change your status on the social media sites with that specific image, which shows that you support intrinsic evil, it signifies that you are truly out of touch with reality.  It's times like these that I am reminded of a quote from Archbishop Fulton J Sheen, where he said "Wrong is wrong, even if everybody is wrong and right is right, even if nobody is right." Those words spoken by Archbishop Sheen should resonate within all of us at this point in out history, yet with all these social media updates supporting gay marriage, it would seem that many Americans truly have lost their moral compass! We must remember that the truth is the truth, whether you believe it or not, end of discussion!!

Make no mistake about it, gay marriage is wrong and it will open a flood gate of other immoral marriages as well, so why can't we as Americans see this?  If we simply look at whats going on around the world where same sex marriages are already legal, we would see that they are now fighting to allow people in those countries to marry family members, to have group marriages, and the list goes on and on. Gay marriage is not the answer, if it is legalized it will open a can of worms that simply would erode what morality we have left in America, and would lead to the downfall of society (remember what happened in Rome when intrinsic evils such as this were legalized??)  My advice to all of you out there changing your status on the social media sites is to read current world events, get knowledge, and learn the truth of what is really going on with this issue! For Marriage truly means one man and one woman only!

God bless America!

Update on the status of CBSO

Catholicbiblestudyonline.com (CBSO) will be posting new podcasts/blogs starting in March, so please stay tuned!  While you are waiting for our new content to go live, I will take the time to inform you of a few changes we have in the works.  Firstly, CBSO will no longer run a chat room for discussions, instead we will be using our new Twitter account and the blog's comment section for participation in the podcasts/blogs.  We encourage you to participate by posting your comments on the CBSO blog site or on Twitter under the blog post title.  This makes it easier for everyone to discuss the weeks podcast without having to sit and wait for people to log into a chat room.  Secondly, I need people to help me come up with a logo for our CBSO site.  I would like it to be catchy and fun, so it will attract more people to CBSO.  If you have any ideas, comments, or artwork please email me at admin@catholicbiblestudyonline.com.  Finally, I would like ideas on topics and content you would like to see on CBSO.  I am hoping to have a weekly blog done by a Catholic priest in the "As I See It" section that will address current events facing Catholic, but I would love your feedback on how we can improve our content and make CBSO a more enjoyable place to learn our faith.

To Conclude, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your patience! I know its been a long time since my last blog but  more are on the way real soon.  So, please hang in with us, include CBSO in your prayers, and tell all your friends about us!

God bless each and every one of you!

Sean
